So, just what IS a Padparasha Sapphire?

Well, a number of years ago, in a mining district of India called Padparadsha, they used to find a really intense reddish orange Sapphire. Youll still see one occasionaly come out of there, but every one Ive ever seen had ugly written all over it -- cloudy, cracked, oxidized and weathered. In fact, Ive never ever seen a good one, but I hear the older guys talk about them with reverence -- it was apparantly a spectacular stone.

Anyway, weve found a source for the same stone, except its lab created. Its a bright reddish/orange that is a dead ringer for the original -- totally eye clean and well cut. Our pictures just dont do this stone justice -- its like the stones are on fire. Flash and sparkle like youve never seen.

This is good, solid, everyday ring -- the mounting has a strong structure and is well built.

The nicest thing about this particular mounting is its low domed effect. Its a ring you can wear all the time -- stick your hands in your jeans pockets and not get hungup, etc. Just plain comfortable.
